As a Video Editor, you will play a pivotal role in curating and shaping engaging content for our education-focused podcasts. Your proficiency in video editing, strong understanding of social media platforms, and ability to craft compelling clips will contribute to the success of our podcasts across various digital channels.
• Utilize video editing software to edit and assemble raw footage into polished, engaging videos.
• Translate conceptual ideas into well-structured and visually appealing videos that align with the project’s goals.
• Incorporate and balance audio elements, including dialogue, music, sound effects, and voiceovers, to ensure optimal audio-visual synchronization and overall sound quality.
• Integrate motion graphics, text overlays, and visual effects as needed to enhance the video’s impact and convey information more effectively.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, advancements in video editing software, and new techniques to continuously improve the quality and creativity of video content.
• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe, Opus.pro)
• Strong understanding of video composition, pacing, and storytelling.
• Familiarity with audio editing and manipulation.
• Experience with motion graphics and visual effects is a plus.
• Knowledge of color correction and grading techniques.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Creativity and attention to detail.
• A portfolio showcasing previous video editing work is highly recommended.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of professional video editing experience, preferably in a similar role or industry.
• Proficiency in Opus.pro and other relevant video editing software.
• In-depth understanding of major social media platforms, their algorithms, and best practices for content optimization.
• Strong cultural knowledge of education podcasts, including awareness of popular podcasts in the education sector.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a creative team and receive and provide constructive feedback.
• Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail, visual aesthetics, and good adjustment of frame.
• Strong interpersonal skills, adaptable to working with different team members and stakeholders.
