Job Description
We are seeking a talented and creative Video Editor to join our team at Bighit. The primary responsibility of the Video Editor will be to conceptualize, edit, and produce captivating long format videos for our YouTube channel.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of video editing techniques, storytelling, and a passion for creating engaging content.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the content team to conceptualize and develop creative ideas for YouTube long format videos.
• Edit raw footage into polished, high-quality videos that align with the brand's vision and objectives.
• Ensure videos maintain a consistent style, tone, and brand identity throughout the editing process.
• Incorporate graphics, effects, transitions, and sound to enhance video quality and viewer engagement.
• Select appropriate music, sound effects, and voiceovers to complement video content.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in video editing, storytelling, and digital media.
• Manage and organize video assets, including footage, audio files, and graphics, in a structured and accessible manner.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and deliver videos on schedule.
• Provide constructive feedback and suggestions for improving video content and production processes.
• Maintain quality control standards and ensure all videos meet Bighit's quality and branding guidelines.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Video Editor or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing editing skills and creative projects.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Da Vinci, etc
• Excellent understanding of video production techniques, including color grading, audio mixing, and visual effects.
• Strong storytelling skills and ability to communicate ideas effectively through visual storytelling.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy.
• Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and priorities tasks effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.
• Knowledge of YouTube optimization strategies and SEO best practices is a plus.
• - Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Multimedia Arts, Communications, or related field is preferred.
