We are looking for a talented Video Editor & Social Media Content Specialist who can create compelling video content and help grow our presence on platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and beyond.
Job Overview: We are seeking a creative and experienced Video Editor who is passionate about storytelling and has a keen eye for design. The ideal candidate should have experience in editing videos that engage audiences, similar to the style of Vox, and have a proven track record of growing social media accounts, particularly on YouTube and Instagram. You will be responsible for editing videos, creating engaging social media content, and driving the growth of our digital presence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Edit and produce high-quality videos that resonate with our target audience, with a focus on storytelling, pacing, and visual appeal.
• Develop and implement strategies to grow our YouTube, Instagram, and other social media channels.
• Work closely with the content and marketing teams to create video content that aligns with our brand and messaging.
• Optimize videos for different platforms, ensuring they meet the specific requirements and best practices of each channel.
• Create engaging thumbnails, titles, and descriptions to maximize video reach and engagement.
• Monitor and analyze video performance, making data-driven decisions to improve future content.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in video editing and social media marketing.
• Manage and organize video assets, ensuring they are easily accessible for future use.
• Collaborate with other team members to brainstorm and develop new content ideas.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work. Experience with content similar to Vox or other educational/entertainment platforms is a plus.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, particularly YouTube and Instagram, and best practices for video content.
• Experience in creating content strategies that drive audience growth and engagement.
• Excellent storytelling skills with the ability to create compelling narratives through video.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a creative mindset.
• Basic graphic design skills are a must.
