Key Responsibilities:
Video Editing:
Edit raw footage into compelling and engaging videos, following the project’s creative direction.
Trim footage, add music, graphics, voiceovers, sound effects, and special effects to enhance the video.
Ensure that the pacing, timing, and style of the video align with the brand and content goals.
Content Creation & Development:
Collaborate with the creative team to understand the project’s vision and objectives.
Develop storyboards or rough cuts to review with stakeholders.
Provide input on video concepts, formats, and styles to enhance overall video quality.
Audio & Visual Integration:
Sync audio and video elements for optimal sound and visual presentation.
Adjust audio levels, apply sound effects, and ensure that audio is clear and balanced.
Color correct and grade video footage to ensure a visually appealing final product.
Media Management:
Organize and maintain video files, assets, and footage to ensure easy access during the editing process.
Ensure all project files are saved and backed up properly.
Maintain an efficient workflow, meeting project deadlines.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with directors, producers, and other creatives to ensure the video meets the project’s goals.
Incorporate feedback and revisions from clients or stakeholders to finalize the project.
Ensure videos are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
Video Optimization:
Optimize videos for different platforms and formats (e.g., social media, websites, TV).
Ensure videos are in the correct resolution and aspect ratio for various platforms (YouTube, Instagram, etc.).
Quality Control:
Review and check the final video for any issues (audio, visual, or technical errors).
Ensure all videos are produced in a high-quality, professional manner.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Video Production, Media Studies, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
Proven experience as a Video Editor or similar role (2–5 years preferred).
Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
Experience with motion graphics and animation is a plus.
Familiarity with audio editing software (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition) is a plus.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of video production processes, including editing, sound design, and color grading.
Creative mindset with attention to detail and the ability to follow creative guidelines.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Understanding of video compression, file formats, and video codecs.
Knowledge of current trends in video production, especially for social media.
Additional Requirements:
Strong portfolio showcasing previous video editing work.
Ability to adapt to different video styles and formats.
Ability to take direction and incorporate feedback into final edits.
Strong time-management skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
