Job Description: Expert After Effects Professional for Documentary Video Production
Experience: 3-6 years
Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and dedicated After Effects professional with expertise in video editing and a flair for creating high-quality documentary-style videos. This project demands someone with an acute sense of aesthetics, who knows the ins and outs of the After Effects platform and can deliver a polished final product that resonates with our target audience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Video Editing: Edit raw footage to create a cohesive, engaging, and high-quality documentary video.
2. Graphics & Animations: Incorporate dynamic graphics, transitions, and animations to enhance the visual appeal and storytelling of the documentary.
3. Typography: Exhibit a keen sense of typography – understanding the best fonts to use, their placements, and presentation in the context of the video narrative.
4. Collaboration: Work closely with our team to align the video with our vision, while also contributing with creative insights.
5. Revisions: Make necessary changes based on feedback, ensuring the final product meets or exceeds expectations.
6. Maintain Quality & Consistency: Ensure that the video's quality remains consistent throughout, adhering to the high standards set for the project.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in video editing, preferably in documentary-style content.
2. Candidates will take preference if they have worked with GEO Layers AE Plugin
3. Mastery of Adobe After Effects, with a portfolio showcasing past work.
4. Proficient in other Adobe Suite products, such as Premiere Pro and Illustrator.
5. Strong understanding of storytelling techniques in the context of video production.
6. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
7. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, while also collaborating effectively with a team.
8. Open to feedback and revisions, ensuring the client’s vision is met.
+. Solid grasp of current video trends and techniques, bringing fresh perspectives to each project.
Preferred (but not mandatory):
- A degree in film, media, design, or a related field.
- Experience in creating documentaries or long-form content.
- Knowledge of sound design and color grading.
