Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location

KOMO-TV is looking for a dynamic video news editor. We edit with Avid Media Composer. Candidates need to be able to meet tight deadlines. KOMO airs +.5 hours of live local content each weekday. You will be responsible for editing all forms of news content including packages. We are looking for someone who can tell a story and connect with the audience over multiple platforms. The position is for an AM shift Video Editor.
Job responsibilities include:
• Editing video for daily news coverage, special projects, and sweep period pieces
• Taking in news feeds from news bureaus and various news organizations
• Collaborating with anchors, reporters, and producers on video elements of newscasts
• Meeting daily deadlines in a high-energy working environment
