Position Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling recorded raw footage into a finished project that is engaging, visually appealing, and aligns with our brand’s identity. You will work closely with the creative, marketing, and content teams to produce videos for multiple platforms including social media, websites, campaigns, and advertisements.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Video Editing & Production
Edit raw footage into professional, polished videos.
Ensure smooth transitions, pacing, and logical storytelling.
Apply color correction, grading, and sound balancing.
Creative Enhancement
Add graphics, animations, text overlays, and motion effects.
Incorporate music, sound effects, and voiceovers where needed.
Adapt content for different platforms (YouTube, Instagram, etc.).
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with creative, marketing, and content teams to understand project requirements.
Translate briefs into engaging video content aligned with brand identity.
Implement feedback and revisions in a timely manner.
Content Management
Organize and maintain video project files and media assets.
Ensure video content is delivered on time and in correct formats.
Archive projects systematically for future use.
Innovation & Improvement
Stay updated on industry trends, editing tools, and techniques.
Suggest creative approaches to improve video quality and audience engagement.
Continuously refine editing workflows for efficiency.
Tools and Software
Proficiency in editing software such as Wondershare (Filmora), Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent.
Requirements
1-2 years of proven work experience as a Video Editor or similar role.
Proficiency in editing software such as Wondershare (Filmora), Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent.
Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, and compression for various platforms.
Ability to incorporate graphics, animations, and special effects.
Excellent sense of pacing, timing, and storytelling.
Attention to detail and creativity in visual storytelling.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in film studies, Cinematography, Media, Communications, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience with motion graphics, 3D animation, or color grading.
Knowledge of social media video formats (Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.).
Familiarity with audio editing and sound design.
