Job Overview:
The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling recorded footage into a finished project that matches the director’s vision and is suitable for broadcasting across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in video editing, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to tell a compelling story through visual media.
Key Responsibilities:
• Edit raw footage into polished, professional-quality videos for a variety of platforms, including social media, websites, and promotional materials.
• Collaborate with the creative team to understand project scope and objectives.
• Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film.
• Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects to enhance the final product.
• Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity.
• Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency and creativity.
• Ensure the final output meets technical specifications for various distribution channels.
• Maintain organized project files and archives of all work completed.
• Work closely with the production team to meet project deadlines.
