Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled YouTube Video Editor to join our team and help create engaging, high-quality videos for our growing YouTube channel. The ideal candidate has experience in video editing for YouTube, understands the platform's trends, pacing, and audience retention strategies, and can transform raw footage into compelling, shareable content.
Responsibilities
???? Video Editing & Post-Production:
• Edit long-form and short-form YouTube content with engaging cuts, transitions, effects, and animations.
• Enhance visuals with motion graphics, color grading, and sound design.
• Optimize pacing, storytelling, and audience retention through engaging editing.
• Remove unnecessary footage, add jump cuts, and maintain smooth flow.
???? Content Optimization for YouTube:
• Add captions, subtitles, lower thirds, and end screens to improve engagement.
• Design thumbnails, overlays, and intro/outro sequences (preferred but not mandatory).
• Ensure all videos align with YouTube best practices, SEO, and audience engagement techniques.
???? Audio & Music Editing:
• Enhance audio quality, remove background noise, and level audio levels.
• Add appropriate background music and sound effects to enhance viewer experience.
???? Collaboration & Revisions:
• Work closely with the content team to understand creative direction and brand identity.
• Incorporate feedback and make necessary revisions quickly.
• Maintain a fast turnaround time while ensuring high-quality output.
• Requirements & Skills
✅ Proven experience editing videos for YouTube channels (please provide portfolio or examples).
✅ Proficiency in video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut.
✅ Experience with motion graphics (After Effects is a plus).
✅ Strong understanding of YouTube video structure, pacing, and audience engagement techniques.
✅ Knowledge of YouTube best practices, including thumbnails, retention, and SEO-friendly edits.
✅ Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work.
✅ Bonus: Experience editing Shorts, TikToks, or Instagram Reels.
