Video Editor
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and creative Wedding Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling through visual media and experience in editing wedding videos. The Wedding Video Editor will be responsible for transforming raw footage into beautiful, memorable videos that capture the essence of our clients' special day.
Key Responsibilities:
Video Editing:
Edit wedding footage to create compelling and visually appealing wedding films.
Assemble and trim footage segments, add music, dialogues, graphics, and effects to create a cohesive narrative.
Post-Production:
Manage and oversee all technical aspects of video editing for wedding projects.
Ensure the final product meets the clients' expectations and adheres to the company's standards.
Client Collaboration:
Work closely with clients to understand their vision and preferences.
Incorporate client feedback to produce a final product that meets their needs.
Content Development:
Collaborate with the production team to develop video concepts and storyboards.
Translate scripts or concepts into visually engaging wedding videos.
Graphics and Effects:
Create and integrate motion graphics and visual effects to enhance the wedding video.
Use advanced editing techniques and tools to improve video quality.
Quality Assurance:
Review final products to ensure they meet the required standards and specifications.
Implement feedback from clients and team members effectively.
Asset Management:
Organize and manage all audio and video assets.
Maintain a well-organized archive of wedding projects.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Film Studies, Cinematography, Media Production, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Experience:
Proven work experience as a Wedding Video Editor or similar role.
Proficient in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects).
Experience with digital technology and editing software packages.
Skills:
Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, and compression techniques.
Excellent visual storytelling skills with a focus on emotional and romantic content.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and a critical eye for visual and audio details.
Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of color correction and grading.
Experience with sound design and audio mixing.
Familiarity with wedding videography styles and trends.
Strong portfolio of past wedding video projects.
Work Environment:
This position is based in an office setting with occasional travel to wedding venues for on-site shoots. The role may require evening and weekend work to meet project deadlines and client needs.
