As part of our expanding visual marketing strategy, we are looking for a talented Video Editor who can transform creative ideas into high-quality video content that drives engagement and brand storytelling.
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and creative Video Editor with hands-on experience in camera handling, filming, and video post-production. The ideal candidate should be passionate about visual storytelling, knowledgeable in editing trends, and capable of producing both short-form and long-form video content tailored for various platforms including YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and internal branding.
Key Responsibilities
Video Editing: Edit promotional, educational, and social media videos using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, and other professional software.
Camera Operation: Handle DSLR/mirrorless camera shoots independently or with minimal support. Ensure framing, lighting, and composition are professionally executed.
Cinematography: Plan and capture visually engaging footage with a strong understanding of angles, transitions, mood, and color grading.
Post-Production: Perform color correction, audio enhancement, trimming, visual effects, transitions, and final output optimization for all platforms.
Sound Design: Edit, balance, and enhance audio, add soundtracks, voiceovers, and manage sync for high-quality output.
Creative Input: Collaborate with content writers and marketers to ideate and storyboard videos that align with brand objectives and market trends.
Asset Management: Organize and manage all project files, video libraries, and deliverables for reuse and archiving.
Platform Adaptation: Optimize videos for multiple platforms (YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) by adjusting aspect ratios, resolution, and durations as needed.
Trend Awareness: Keep up with visual content trends, editing styles, and platform-specific video preferences (reels, shorts, explainer videos, etc.).
Key Result Areas (KRAs)
Deliver high-quality, edited videos within deadlines
Maintain brand consistency across all video content
Increase video engagement and retention rates
Ensure technically sound and visually appealing outputs
Support multiple departments with creative video solutions
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Studies, Communication, or related fields is preferred
Experience:
2 to 3 years of professional experience in video editing and production
Technical Proficiency:
Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve
Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator (for overlays, title designs, etc.)
Camera handling (DSLR/mirrorless), tripod, lighting, and mic setup
Familiarity with codecs, formats, resolutions, and compression standards
Basic understanding of cinematography, motion graphics, and visual effects
Creative Attributes:
Strong storytelling and pacing sense
Attention to detail and visual consistency
Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines
Passion for visual content, branding, and engagement
