Job Summary:
Nykaa is looking for a highly skilled and creative Video Editor Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for storytelling, and the ability to bring innovative video content to life. You will work closely with the Marketing, Social Media, and Shoot & Production teams to produce high-quality videos that align with our brand's design language and resonate with our audience.
Job Description :
1. Video Editing:
• Edit videos with various styles and designs according to the latest market trends that fit our design language.
• Implement different editing styles, animations, transitions, and text styles to enhance video content.
• Create short animated content as required.
2. Research and Development:
• Stay updated with new editing styles, animations, transitions, and text styles.
• Adapt new trends and techniques into our videos.
• Explore different animated techniques and styles that align with our design language.
3 Content Creation and Collaboration:
• Discuss with the content team to adapt suitable content into animation.
• Participate in pre-production meetings to assist the social media team with direction for shoots.
4. Shoot and Production:
• Innovate and propose interesting ways to shoot our videos.
• Assist with shoots for other teams when required.
5. Team Leadership and Management:
• Lead and manage a team of video editors.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Knowledge and Skill / Qualification Requirements:
• 8+ years of experience in video editing with a strong portfolio. Experience in a similar role within the beauty, wellness, or fashion industry is a plus.
• Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe creative cloud - after effects, premier pro, illustrator, photoshop, audition, media encoder also Runway ML and other AI softwares
• Familiarity with Nykaa's brand and content style.
• Expertise in storytelling, effects/transitions, audio editing and syncing.
• Proficiency in motion graphics and animations.
• Strong design layout skills, including font and graphic usage.
• Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of videography/filming is a bonus
