Job Description
The Video Editor Intern plays a crucial role in the organization by assisting in the creation of high-quality video content for various purposes, such as marketing campaigns, corporate communications, and social media. They work closely with the creative team to edit and produce engaging video material that effectively conveys the intended message to the target audience.
Key responsibilities
• Edit raw footage to create compelling and visually appealing videos
• Assist in conceptualizing and developing video content ideas
• Ensure video content aligns with brand guidelines and objectives
• Collaborate with the creative team to understand project requirements
• Execute post-production tasks, including editing, sound design, and color correction
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to contribute creative input
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in video editing
• Manage and organize video files and assets
• Assist in capturing and importing video footage as needed
• Work within tight deadlines to deliver high-quality video content
• Provide support in pre-production and production activities as necessary
• Collaborate with other team members, such as graphic designers and animators, to achieve cohesive multimedia projects
• Conduct quality assurance checks on all video deliverables to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand project requirements and expectations
• Contribute to the development of creative concepts for video projects
Required Qualifications
• Pursuing a degree in Film, Media Studies, or a related field
• Demonstrated passion for video editing and multimedia storytelling
• Proficiency in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
• Basic understanding of video production processes and techniques
• Strong eye for detail and the ability to maintain high standards of quality
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Basic understanding of audio editing and sound design principles
• Familiarity with video file formats, codecs, and compression techniques
• Knowledge of motion graphics and animation is a plus
• Ability to take constructive feedback and apply it to improve work
• Portfolio or examples of previous video editing projects is preferred
• Understanding of social media platforms and their video requirements is advantageous
• Knowledge of color grading and visual effects is a plus
