Role Definition
The candidate is to play a crucial role in producing high-quality video content that supports the organization's goals. This role involves editing various types of videos, including demonstration videos, promo videos for social media, and explainer videos that incorporate motion graphics. The Video Editor collaborates closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Instructional Designers to ideate, plan, and execute projects that align with the team's objectives.
Skills & Experience
• Graduate, Minimum 1-2 years of experience
• Previous experience in EdTech/Education industry is a plus. Having a strong portfolio showcasing work and expertise in video production is appreciated.
• Edit and assemble raw footage into polished videos for various formats, including demonstration videos, promo videos, and explainer videos.
• Work closely with the creative team to ensure the final product aligns with the project’s vision and goals.
• Incorporate graphics, animations, and other visual effects using Adobe After Effects for explainer videos.
• Have proficiency in Adobe Audition and color grading to ensure high-quality sound in all video productions.
• Utilize basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to create or adjust graphics as needed for video projects.
• Assist with setting up and managing studio shoots, including handling cameras, lighting, and other equipment to ensure smooth production.
• Collaborate with the production team to achieve the desired visual quality during shoots and have a profound understanding of storytelling.
Tools Knowledge:
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
• Experience with Adobe Audition for audio clean-up and noise reduction.
Creativity: Strong creative skills and an eye for detail to ensure high-quality, engaging video content.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with a team of creatives, including instructional designers, SMEs, program managers, and marketers.
