About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and creative Video Editor to join our team for an ongoing political campaign in New Delhi and Haryana. As a Video Editor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the narrative of the campaign through compelling video content. This is an onsite position that requires someone with experience in political or high-pressure environments who can deliver quality work on tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Video Editing: Edit raw footage into polished, professional videos that align with the campaign’s messaging and objectives.
• Content Creation: Collaborate with content producers, graphic designers, and campaign strategists to create video content for social media, websites, and other digital platforms.
• Storytelling: Develop narratives through video that effectively convey the campaign's message and resonate with the target audience.
• Post-Production: Handle all aspects of post-production, including color correction, sound editing, motion graphics, and visual effects.
• On-Ground Coverage: Work closely with field teams to capture real-time footage of events, speeches, rallies, and other campaign activities.
• File Management: Organize and archive all video content efficiently, ensuring easy access and retrieval.
• Deadline Management: Work under tight deadlines to deliver high-quality videos quickly and efficiently.
• Creative Input: Provide creative input on video concepts and suggest innovative ways to engage the audience through video.
Eligibility & Expertise:
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in video editing, preferably within political campaigns, news media, or similar fast-paced environments.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and After Effects. Knowledge of audio editing software is also desirable.
• Political Acumen: Understanding of the political landscape in New Delhi and Haryana, with the ability to create videos that are contextually relevant and impactful.
• Attention to Detail: Strong eye for detail, ensuring that all videos are of the highest quality and free from errors.
• Communication Skills: Ability to understand and execute briefs accurately, with strong communication skills in both English and Hindi.
• Team Collaboration: Experience working in collaborative environments with content creators, directors, and field teams.
• Adaptability: Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to the fast-changing needs of the campaign.
• Travel: Willingness to travel within New Delhi and Haryana as required for on-ground coverage.
Desirable Skills:
• Motion Graphics: Experience in creating motion graphics and animations.
• Color Grading: Expertise in color grading to enhance the visual appeal of videos.
• Multilingual Proficiency: Knowledge of regional languages/dialects of Haryana is a plus.
• Crisis Management: Ability to quickly edit and release videos in response to political developments or crises.
