Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and creative Video Editor to join our team. The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling recorded footage into a finished project that matches the director’s vision and is suitable for broadcasting or online platforms. This position requires strong storytelling abilities, technical expertise in video editing software, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
• Video Editing: Edit raw footage into polished, engaging videos for a variety of platforms, including social media, websites, and advertisements.
• Post-Production Work: Handle color correction, sound mixing, transitions, and visual effects to enhance video quality.
• Collaborate with Team: Work closely with directors, producers, content creators, and marketing teams to ensure the video meets the project objectives.
• Creative Input: Provide creative input during project planning, bringing fresh ideas to elevate the visual storytelling.
• Manage Multiple Projects: Handle multiple video projects at once, meeting deadlines and managing priorities.
• Content Optimization: Adapt and optimize video content for different platforms, ensuring proper aspect ratios, file sizes, and resolutions.
• Asset Management: Organize and maintain a library of video assets, ensuring easy access for future projects.
• Client Revisions: Implement feedback from clients or stakeholders and make necessary edits to improve the final product.
• Stay Updated: Keep up with video editing trends, techniques, and tools to continuously improve your work.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Proficiency in Video Editing Software: Expertise in software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Avid Media Composer.
• Knowledge of Motion Graphics: Familiarity with Adobe After Effects, Blender, or other motion graphics and animation software is a plus.
• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, resolutions, and post-production processes (color grading, audio editing, etc.).
• Creativity: Ability to craft compelling visual stories that align with the company’s branding and vision.
• Attention to Detail: Keen eye for ensuring consistency in video edits, transitions, and effects.
• Time Management: Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas and gather feedback.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in 3D animation or motion graphics.
• Basic knowledge of sound design and music editing.
• Understanding of social media video formats.
• Knowledge of live video production tools or experience with green screen footage.
