Responsibilities

The Video Editor works closely with the Video Production Manager and multiple stakeholders to produce a variety of video segments for distribution on social media, websites, and other digital outlets

These videos are primarily technical in nature, but certain deliverables include narrative/storytelling elements as well

Participate in storyboarding, development, and post-production of video segments from inception through to completion

Edit video content covering a range of technical subjects to support the Mastercam product line and associated services

Assist the Motion Graphics Designer in the creation of graphics, animations, and illustrations to support concepts displayed in videos using industry standard motion graphics and 3D animation design packages

Develop video content and digital assets in line with company brand standards and guidelines to be used throughout the organization

Assure the quality and accuracy of the content by collaborating with stakeholders, resolving questions, coordinating technical interviews, and incorporating reviewer’s suggestions and corrections into sustainable designs

Organize, tag, and manage creative content and assets for use across multiple streams of production

Work on multiple projects with overlapping deadlines

Stay current with advances in the technical communications profession, technology, and tools through reading and continuing education

Work with stakeholders to ensure project goals are achieved

Assist with planning to schedule work, determine deadlines, and create plans to achieve desired goals

Position Overview:

The Video Editor works closely with the Video Production Manager and multiple stakeholders to produce a variety of video segments for distribution on social media, websites, and other digital outlets.
