Job Description

Captiv Creative is a full-service creative agency and production studio specializing in branded content, commercials, and storytelling for national and regional clients. We are expanding our editor network and seeking skilled, reliable video editors to join us for immediate and ongoing projects. We believe in empowering editors with full project ownership—from assembly to polish—while supporting them with strong creative direction and clear production workflows.

We are seeking talented freelance editors with strong storytelling instincts, technical expertise, and the ability to handle projects from rough cut to final delivery. This is not a one-off job; we are building long-term relationships with editors who consistently deliver high-quality work on deadline. Projects will include branded commercials, corporate storytelling, event highlight reels, motion graphics-driven campaigns, and high-level cinematic edits requiring advanced color, VFX, and compositing.
Requirements
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve
• Familiarity with Blender and/or Unreal Engine strongly preferred
• Proven experience in production editing (minimum 2 years professional or equivalent portfolio)
• Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and sound design
• Knowledge of different video formats, codecs, and delivery requirements
• Experience working with production teams (DPs, producers, motion artists, etc.)
• Portfolio or reel required to apply
• Willingness to complete a sample project test
Key Responsibilities
• Edit projects start-to-finish in Adobe Premiere Pro
• Execute motion graphics, animation, and compositing in After Effects
• Perform color grading in DaVinci Resolve to broadcast and digital delivery standards
• Work with Blender and/or Unreal Engine for 3D, VFX, and virtual production workflows (a plus, not required)
• Sync audio, mix, and deliver polished final masters in multiple formats
• Collaborate with producers, directors, and creatives to maintain vision and brand consistency
• Upload and manage assets daily to Frame.io for review and file security
• Meet deadlines consistently—professional communication and reliability are critical
• Complete a sample edit test in accordance with our production timeline prior to onboarding
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
• 3D animation / VFX experience
• Experience with virtual production environments
• Multilingual editing capability (Spanish/English projects are in demand)
• Graphic design or typography background
