Viva Music Academy is seeking professional and committed Violin, and Viola, Cello and Singing teachers to join our growing team. We are an established, high-performing studio with over 100 active students, and we are looking for educators who uphold high teaching standards, communicate clearly with parents, and want to build a long-term role with us.
We currently have demand for teachers who are available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday afternoons who are wanting to build a consistent caseload.
Requirements
Qualifications
AMEB / ABRSM teaching experience
AMusA, LMusA, or equivalent diploma-level qualification
Violin/Viola teachers must hold equivalent string performance qualifications
Bachelor of Music or equivalent from a recognised university
Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or valid long-term work rights
Teaching & Professional Skills
Experience teaching children and teenagers
Confident preparing students for AMEB/ABRSM exams, concerts, and Eisteddfods
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Punctual, organised, and professionally presented
Available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, afternoons from 3pm
Open to early-career teachers who are motivated, coachable, and committed to development
Responsibilities
Teach private violin/viola/cello/singing lessons across a range of ages and levels
For string teachers: Teach small-group beginner/intermediate string classes as needed
Prepare students for AMEB/ABRSM exams, concerts, and Eisteddfods
Assist with running student concerts and studio events
Submit one short (15–30 sec) weekly lesson clip to showcase student progress for Viva’s social media
Communicate clearly with parents and admin regarding progress and expectations
Arrive early, prepared, and professionally presented for every lesson
