Unbound Academy redefines what teaching can be. This hybrid position supports a tuition-free, fully virtual Arizona charter school designed to replace worksheets with experiential learning and center student development. Learners complete core academics independently in two focused hours daily using AI-powered platforms. Their remaining time is dedicated to cultivating practical skills through facilitated workshops, coaching, and exploratory activities.
Your role will not involve delivering scripted content or monitoring a virtual classroom. Instead, you'll facilitate dynamic online sessions that encourage students to think critically, collaborate, create, and evolve. Through mentorship in storytelling, entrepreneurship, wellness, and problem-solving, you'll help them cultivate independence, self-confidence, and executive function skills.
This position is not designed for educators seeking to replicate conventional schooling via Zoom. It's for licensed teachers prepared to relocate to Arizona, embrace a hybrid working model, and guide students in ways that genuinely equip them for the future. What You Will Be Doing
• Facilitating engaging virtual workshops centered on life competencies including communication, creativity, critical thinking, and self-management
• Providing one-on-one and small-group mentorship to cultivate student confidence, accountability, and executive function
• Leveraging platform analytics and student cues to tailor support and monitor development over time
• Working alongside peer educators to design and refine project-based learning opportunities
• Building a supportive, energizing environment where students feel valued, challenged, and inspired to develop
What You Won’t Be Doing
• Instructing core academic content; adaptive AI tutors manage those subjects
• Presenting scripted lessons or overseeing a conventional classroom structure
• Grading assignments, distributing homework, or creating standardized lesson plans
Virtual Learning Facilitator Key Responsibilities
Advance student development and life preparedness by facilitating transformative, practical learning experiences within a hybrid, fully virtual school environment.
Basic Requirements
• Available to begin end of July 2026
• Valid U.S. teaching certificate from any state, or an expired certificate eligible for reinstatement, with certification transferable to Arizona
• Strong virtual presence and confidence facilitating students through video platforms
• Able to work in a hybrid role in Arizona

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $30 USD/hour, which equates to $60,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
