Job Overview
The Volunteer Coordinator supports and coordinates daily operations of the volunteer program on a campus to system wide scale. The Coordinator assists the volunteer leadership team to develop, implement, and manage programs, projects, and initiatives for the department/division.
This position is based at our North Campus
Duties & Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.
1. Organize and participate (as requested) in the volunteer interview process with the goal of identifying qualified volunteers and ensuring the best use of their talents while addressing the needs of the hospital, patients, families, and staff.
2. Proficient in all volunteer roles to provide general hospital support and when appropriate, assignment specific training for volunteers
3. Provides support to the volunteers during their assigned shifts by helping to secure coverage for absent volunteers and substitute for volunteers when needed.
4. Utilizes the volunteer database to update volunteer data, pull applications, enter assignments and pull reports.
5. Responsible for welcoming, orienting and supervising volunteers during community special events.
6. Provides support for special events by promoting the event and arranging volunteers’ schedules
7. Ensures documentation and accurate record keeping with regard to privacy pledges, orientation check lists, and photo releases.
8. Provides a high level of customer service support and assistance to donors
+. Performs accurate donor record keeping functions, including distributing and storing in-kind donations and donations are forwarded through the respective teams
Minimum Qualifications
Degrees High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
Two years of experience coordinating and supporting programs.
Equivalency
An Associate or higher degree, in a related field, may substitute for the experience requirements on a year for year basis.
Shift/Schedule
Mon-Fri from 8-1p
Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Hourly Range: $23.31 to $34.+7
