About Us
Women & Children Social Networking (WNC-SN) is a community-focused initiative dedicated to supporting women and children through advocacy, networking, mentorship, and community programming. Our goal is to build supportive environments where families can access resources, develop leadership skills, and strengthen community connections.
Position Overview
WNC-SN is seeking motivated and community-minded students to join our Spring/Summer 2026 volunteer team. This opportunity is ideal for students interested in community development, social services, advocacy, event coordination, and nonprofit leadership. Volunteers will gain practical experience supporting community programs that empower women and children.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with community outreach and engagement initiatives
Support planning and coordination of community events and workshops
Help manage social networking and online community engagement
Participate in research and resource development for women and children’s programs
Assist with administrative and program support tasks
Collaborate with the WNC-SN team on community impact initiatives
Training Requirement (Mandatory)
All selected student volunteers must attend the Youth Leadership Conference (YLC) in April 2026, which serves as the mandatory training and orientation program for this volunteer placement. Participation in the full conference is required before beginning volunteer activities.
Eligibility
Current high school, college, or university students
Interest in social impact, community work, or nonprofit leadership
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Reliable and committed to the Spring/Summer volunteer term
Able to attend the mandatory YLC Conference (April 2026)
