Job description
This is an opportunity to work with an Ashoka Fellow
Ashoka Fellows are leading social entrepreneurs that have been taken through a rigorous selection process, testing the quality of their ideas and character, to become part of the Ashoka Fellowship and Network. Ashoka Fellows take on the challenges of building innovative system change ideas to make and spread social impact in a world wrought with challenges. They refuse to let the ‘impossible’ stand in their way to creating a better world.
This is an unpaid, volunteer opportunity
About The Affiliated Organization
RightWalk Foundation was founded with a bold vision: to make rights-based welfare accessible to the most marginalised communities in India. Our journey began with a deep belief that equitable access to quality education, dignified livelihoods, and healthcare can transform lives — if only implemented right. We work to bridge the last-mile gap between progressive laws/policies and the people they are meant to serve, especially children, women, and youth from disadvantaged backgrounds. Through a combination of policy advocacy, systemic reform, and grassroots implementation, we help citizens avail their legal entitlements — such as under the Right to Education Act (RTE), apprenticeships, and social security schemes.
In the last 10 years, we’ve enabled over 10,00,000 children to access quality private schooling, and connected lakhs of youth to apprenticeships and employment across India, in partnership with state governments, courts, and civil society. Our work is important because progressive policies alone are not enough — they must translate into action. And that is where we step in: to make systems work for those who are often left out.

Job Description
Project: As RightWalk Foundation celebrates 10 years of implementing the Right to Education (RTE) Act in Uttar Pradesh, we are launching a high-visibility campaign that culminates in a major event on 28th September 2025. The campaign will highlight stories of transformation, systemic change, and legal victories that have impacted over half a million children....
The goal of this volunteer project is to use visual storytelling — through videos and graphics — to communicate our impact, engage wider audiences (including government, media, donors, and the public), and celebrate the journey of making rights-based access a reality in India....
We are seeking a Video Editor cum Graphic Designer who will:
• Edit short-form and long-form videos based on our field footage and interviews.
• Create engaging motion graphics, reels, and impact highlight videos.
• Design campaign collateral such as social media graphics, posters, event backdrops, and digital invites.
• Collaborate with the communications team to brainstorm creative concepts.
Why Your Work Matters: This is more than just a creative role — it’s about humanizing policy impact. Your work will play a key role in shaping how people perceive education rights and public welfare. Your designs and videos will bring stories to life, inspire action, and ensure that the unheard voices of children and communities reach the platforms they deserve. It’s a chance to create for a cause — and leave a visual legacy on a milestone campaign. impact. This opportunity is ideal for someone who wants to build a socially conscious portfolio, work closely with a policy-implementation team, and contribute to a landmark 10-year campaign in the development sector.
The intern/volunteer will be mentored by the Communications Lead and will have opportunities to showcase their work across RightWalk’s official platforms, media features, and government-facing presentations.
We are flexible about remote work, timelines, and learning curves — what matters most is commitment, creativity, and a belief in social justice.
If you're someone who enjoys telling human stories visually, this is your chance to make your work matter.
