Role Responsibilities

Job Purpose

Responsible for the delivery of all outcomes to support Group CCIB Client Coverage performance requirements. Help establish a high performing team who will work independently to deliver core outcomes. Provide value add through comprehensive understanding of financials, business context and analysis to support their decision making and strategic development.

Business Support
• The role covers Group CCIB and as such involves all markets supported by the bank on the coverage side of the business.
• Responsibility for owning end to end Client Segment and Sub-segment performance reporting requirements, with a core objective to ensure that the MI is presented in senior management forums
• Support the requirements for performance reviews and executive meetings such as CC Monthly Performance and the CCIB Management Meeting
• Support the requirements of monthly and quarterly country performance reviews with the segment heads by preparing relevant financials, analytics and presentations
• Ensure close integration of reporting and performance outcomes of regional businesses with the group for consistency of messaging and business performance narrative
• Lending Product - detailed lending control and analysis of income, balance sheet, RWA. Analysis and investigation of trends, returns and margins and validation of non-NII postings to ensure accounting is in compliance with Group Accounting Policies. In addition, prepare and maintain lending rolling forecasts.
• Front end the coordination and support during forecasting, budgeting and monthly reporting cycles with product and segment finance heads and Regional / Country finance functions
• Create a global standard process for some of our key planning outcomes covering origination and franchise views
• Drive Rationalisation and Standardisation of MI to ensure integration of core performance requirements across group, regions and countries
• Analyse business performance (management and financial), review highlight risks and opportunities and drive actions to ensure committed financial outcome.
• Support Balance Sheet, capital and liquidity requirements through an understanding of its impact on consolidated business performance and support active balance sheet management for strategic planning
• Provide delivery ownership and control over all CCIB outcomes across processes including accounting and control
• Ensure impact on business performance outcomes is managed due to change in upstream or downstream processes and systems

Team Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness
• End to end support to the CCIB Finance team covering all outcomes for e.g., business performance reports, analytics, planning and partnering with various finance and business stakeholders
• Lead and manage the team and to develop the staff to take up different/more value-added roles
• Contribute in any ad-hoc finance related projects, including providing support to Finance Transformation initiatives as well as simplification of bank process

Our Ideal Candidate
• A mature finance profession with relevant experience in financial services industry
• Experienced in corporate banking products, booking models, accounting treatments
• Sound understanding of international accounting standards requirements, business analysis techniques, risk management methodologies, project management techniques
• A high degree of integrity and ability to challenge the views and actions of others in a constructive manner
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, multi task, lead through ambiguities, influence where he/she does not have direct authority & build on unstructured formative situations
• A leader, a team player with the management ability and track record to secure the confidence and respect of the peers, stakeholders and the executive management team.
• Strong Analytical and Strategic mindset, coupled with a thorough understanding of business performance management outcomes
• Should have worked in a business finance function with strong FP&A background.
• Ability to understand and connect business drivers and rationale for and application of those relevant to the Performance management process.
• Significant experience of working with senior management team and of interfacing with and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Strong ability to understand financial statements and its drivers and synthesize them into meaningful analyses as required. Develop analysis & interpretations as required to facilitate management decision making.
• Ability to culturally orient in diverse & international team environment and lead and inspire multi-disciplinary teams.
