We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of VP – Credit Impairment Analytics.
Principal responsibilities:
• Own and deliver the credit risk disclosures set out in external financial statements and other external publications ensuring compliance with and identifying new disclosure requirements, specifying data collection mechanism, designing analytical review procedures and communicating results to senior stakeholders.
• Continual review and improvement of businesses processes to ensure the production of the right information in the required time frames as efficiently as possible.
• Support HSBC UK governance processes to enable senior stakeholders to discharge their responsibilities around sign off of expected credit loss calculations and IFRS + provision levels.
• Produce insightful and intelligent management information to meet the various stakeholder’s needs.
• Assist with any credit risk impairment related interactions with HSBC UK Finance and Risk teams, Group CIA and Regulatory Financial Reporting teams and other teams as required.
• External disclosures are fully compliant with listing requirements and relevant standards (e.g. IFRS) and are meaningful to the readers of the financial statements and other external publications.
• Ability of the team to meet objectives and support the governance processes for both IFRS and FINREP.
• Effectiveness of sign off process within the timelines of the IFRS and FINREP operating models.
• Required IFRS and FINREP analysis is produced to required deadlines and number of requests for further analysis are minimised.
• Feedback from Finance and Risk teams across the IFRS + process indicates good service from the team.
• External reporting deadlines met in a sustainable way with few issues identified from senior management review.
