Introduction
The primary role and focus of the Infrastructure Lead is to work with projects and programmes (both internal to Digital and from the wider business), ensuring that fit-for-purpose technical infrastructure solutions are deployed for Internet Platforms, in support of business demand and requirements. Key platforms for which the role holder is responsible are MyBarclays (ROLB), Global Online Forms, and Digital Shared Services. The role holder will be working alongside a number of business critical technology change programmes to ensure that the optimum infrastructure solution is chosen, and to ensure that the infrastructure solution is delivered on-time and to the required level of quality. The role holder will manage a small team of analysts supporting this area.
An in-depth understanding of Middleware Technology is a must, with a focus on resilience and security by design. Cloud experience would be useful but not essential.
What will you be doing?
• Expertise and successful track record across Infrastructure Design, Build, Implementation and Management, complimented with proven experience in Agile, DevOps, Cloud (Private/Public) & Middleware technologies.
• Infrastructure Design Expertise – to define how we design highly scalable, performant and secure propositions, that align to and build on target state visions for Digital (Internet) and wider Bank.
• Supports the Infrastructure Design Framework and tooling required across the Digital CIO.
• Agile Created – to build fast and react to changing needs instantly.
• Lean Enabled – to ensure our underlying processes and platforms are efficient and robust.
• Provide infrastructure design
