Role Responsibilities
Overall responsible for Group External and GCFO reporting, reporting & analysis - “Explain Why”, Influencer and Stakeholder Management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
StrategyMonthly performance updates, including analysis and commentary
Prepare high-level insight to senior stakeholders on monthly P&L position
Capture key drivers for actuals vs. budget and YoY variances
Liaise with the Business Finance teams to ensure accuracy and understanding performance drivers
Support and drive further the digitisation agenda, including streamlining reporting whilst ensuring key stakeholder requirements are covered
Business
Deliver quarter end analysis including strategic KPI’s requiring business input
Ensure the KPIs are aligned to the Bank’s strategic priorities during the annual rollover process
Work with Investor Relations to ensure key KPIs have been captured and ensure regular reviews are performed throughout the year
Engage with the Business for quarterly updates on strategic KPIs, leveraging inputs received across other deliverables/areas within Group FP&A Team; review and challenge submissions for clear justification
Ensure the key quarterly messaging/themes have been fully supported and captured in the analysis pack
Manage adhoc analysis requests
Processes
Quarter end reporting, engaging with Investor Relations and Regional/Segment CFOs
Prepare quarterly P&L messaging for the Regions/Segments, ensuring key story has been captured to provide meaningful insight to audience
Engage with Business to ensure accuracy and understand business performance drivers
Ensure messaging is suitable for external audience
Full year outlook used for market guidance by the Investor Relations and Group CFO
Engage with Group Planning during the Target Setting and Corporate Plan cycles
Review and challenge business submissions to drive a meaningful Group picture
Ensure process is dynamic to allow for constant updates to full year outlook throughout the year and Target Setting/Corporate Plan cycles
Continuously improve the process/file-structures, engaging with the India team, to ensure sufficient controls are in place
Governance
Responding to Auditor queries
Ensure information provided is accurate and precise, and responses are handled a timely manner
Regulatory & Business Conduct
Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

QUALIFICATIONS
TRAINING, LICENSES, MEMBERSHIPS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Chartered Accountant or MBA with 12-15 years of relevant finance experience preferred
