RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Purpose
• Own and be responsible for the delivery of all outcomes to support performance management requirements of the CCIB business. Work independently to deliver end to end outcomes. Provide value add through comprehensive understanding of financials, business context and analysis to support their decision making and strategic development.

Business Support
• Drive business outcomes for CCIB from ideation to implementation of key strategic initiatives / priorities.
• Drive clear, simple, and transparent reporting of CCIB performance for the Monthly Business Review, Weekly Financial reviews, Management, and other ad-hoc reviews.
• Responsible for creating clear narratives for both internal as well as external consumptions (investors, analysts, rating agencies etc...)
• Model business scenarios to help with the planning, target setting and strategic reviews.
• Provide thought leadership in simplifying and articulating complex issues impacting performance
• Partner with CCIB Finance CFOs to drive and manage consolidated CCIB financial performance requirements
• Partner with Product Finance Heads to drive and manage performance for FM, CF, Lending and TB
• Provide timely & accurate financial information / MIS to enable strategic decision making
• Analyze business performance (management and financial), review highlight risks and opportunities and drive actions to ensure committed financial outcome.
• Proactively reach out to cross functional practitioners to understand and model impact to various financial scenarios
• Ensure impact on business performance outcomes is managed due to change in upstream or downstream processes and systems

Financial Controls
• Ensure robust financial processes in place to report revenue, cost and balance sheet for CCIB in an accurate and timely manner
• Ensure compliance with Group / IFRS accounting principles and practices, Financial Control policy, and other regulatory accounting guidelines

Team Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness
• End to end support to the CCIB Performance Management Finance team covering all outlines for e.g. business performance reports, analytics, planning and partnering with various finance and business stakeholders
• Collaborate with the team and to develop the staff to take up different/more value-added roles
• Collaborate with Group / Regional / Country Finance colleagues in providing quality management information and review of business plans and strategies
• Contribute to any ad-hoc finance related projects, including providing support to Finance Transformation initiatives as well as simplification of bank process

Our Ideal Candidate
• A mature finance profession with relevant experience in financial services industry
• High degree of skill and experience in authoring senior management presentations, documents and other performance based narrative communications
• Experienced in corporate banking and investment banking products, booking models, accounting treatments
• A high degree of integrity and ability to challenge the views and actions of others in a constructive manner
• Strong Analytical and Strategic mindset, coupled with a thorough understanding of business performance management outcomes
• Should have worked in a business finance function with strong FP&A background.
• Ability to understand and connect business drivers and rationale for and application of those relevant to the Performance management process.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, multi task, lead through ambiguities, influence where he/she does not have direct authority & build on unstructured formative situations
• A leader, a team player with the management ability and track record to secure the confidence and respect of the peers, stakeholders and the executive management team.
• Significant experience of working with senior management team and of interfacing with and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Strong ability to understand financial statements and its drivers and synthesize them into meaningful analyses as required. Develop analysis & interpretations as required to facilitate management decision making.
• Ability to culturally orient in diverse & international team environment and lead and inspire multi-disciplinary teams.
