The Private Bank delivers highly customized and tailored solutions to help clients with the challenges of substantial wealth, utilizing the Private Bank’s discretionary investment management, brokerage, tax and estate planning, credit, capital raising and specialty wealth advisory services while leveraging the commercial and investment banking capabilities of the firm. The Global Regulatory Strategy team provides coordination, leadership and oversight for internal Audit and regulatory exams, inquiries, and information requests for Wealth Management Credit Risk. This Vice President will be involved in the full lifecycle of the audit and regulatory engagement process, from preparation to close out. The key objective of this role is to provide governance for audits and exams by proactively partnering with WM Risk, Operational Risk, Risk Controls, Legal, Compliance and WM Business. Job responsibilities: • Support WM Credit Risk in the management and coordination of audits, exams and non-exam engagements with Internal Audit and regulators, including responses to written requests and internal preparation for meetings • Escalate issues that arise in the course of audits or engagements in a timely manner • Advise, influence, and challenge Risk and other exam partners in preparation for, and engagement in, regulatory activity • Foster and maintain strong working relationships between Internal Audit and the regulators with WM Risk Leadership • Partner with other lines of business and functions within JPMorgan Chase to deliver fulsome and consistent responses to Internal Audit or regulatory inquiries • Provide reporting to senior stakeholders highlighting activity on, and focus areas of, audits and regulatory engagements • Maintain thorough and accurate records of audits and exams in progress, recurring meetings, and MIS reporting provided to regulators Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills • 8+ years of experience at a large financial institution or regulator • Comfortable partnering with Senior Management and providing effective challenge to proposed responses to Audit’s and regulators’ inquiries • Ability to perform under pressure and balance competing priorities, with a commitment to deliver under tight deadlines • Ability to build effective working relationships and interact comfortably with regulators and with a wide spectrum of colleagues • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to self-edit and respond effectively to regulators and to JPMC management. Attention to detail and commitment to doing quality work in a comprehensive manner • Keen interest in policy, governance, and regulations • MBA (or equivalent) strongly preferred Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills • Knowledge of Internal Audit and regulators’ exam processes and regulatory matters, and/or background in Risk or a related function a plus
