Role Description
The Divisional Risk and Control Specialist is responsible for delivering specific aspects of the risk and control strategy for a sub-division. This includes monitoring risk and control activities, risk based control reporting of key issues, performance and validation of cyclical activities such as annual control self assessments. It would also include, control testing, incident research, remediation monitoring and other ad hoc control initiatives and projects. The Divisional Risk and Control Specialist will liaise with other risk and control functions, on a management level to assure the integration of risk initiatives and projects.

Your key responsibilities
Key Responsibilities / Tasks:
Specific work packages:
Work package 'Application Security Management'
Provide remediation support and consulting with regard to Application Security Topics (e.g. ASM, dbDAM) to enable TDI PB areas achieving their compliance targets.
Advice on remediation actions for non-compliance issues to foster sustainable remediation.
Close collaboration with CSO Teams with regard to the Application Security Remediation Program.
Work package 'IT Governance Process Optimization'
You will drive optimization and simplification of IT Asset Governance processes together with 2nd LoD (process owners) and other CIO areas. Find clear differentiations of IT Asset Types to allow the organization applying a specific / dedicated and risk based minimum of IT Asset Governance processes.
The focus will be on major IT Asset Governance processes. (E.g. RACER, ASM, I&A)
Work package 'Global Compliance Initiative - Coordination for TDI PB'
Coordinate TDI PB processes regarding the risk and control initiatives within global risk and control programs (e.g. Defence in Depth Program, ConMon).
Achieve timely commitments regarding remediation measures of in-scope applications with CIO-1 and teams.
Drive working out adequate common solutions together with CSO, CTO and CIO in case of specific TDI PB requirements (e.g. IBM mainframe).
Continuously validate scope regarding on-boarding to monitoring solutions etc. together with ISO and CSO.
Work package 'IT Control Governance'
Provide reporting on IT application controls and KPIs for TDI PB senior management and divisions / domains. Perform controlling regarding a swift, transparent and sustainable remediation progress. Close cooperation with CSO Metrics & Reporting Team. Prepartion of the TDI PB Tech Heatmap.
Work package 'Audit Control & Advisory' (contribute to)
Provide advisory and support handling of risk items. Ensure efficient handling and no overdue findings by early warnings / escalations to senior management, if finding remediation (Audit/ SII) is at risk to become overdue.
In addition to the above -
Facilitate use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services
Excellent potential for 1) playing lead role in designated tasks in gathering, organizing and analyzing data 2) strong potential for growth and acceptance of additional responsibilities
Ensuring completion of Risk Assessment and Compliance Evaluation of Applications in co-ordination with the IT application owner.
Enabling automated log aggregation, correlation, and analysis with the help of IT application vendor.
Your skills and experience
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering + MBA equivalent from an accredited college or university (or equivalent)
15+ years' experience in the field of Information Technology/ Information Security (preferably Bank Retail application technology)
Experience in the field of Information Security / SOC / Incident Response / Incident Forensics
Domain knowledge in the Banking & Financial Payments industry
Good written and spoken communication skills
A working knowledge of most aspects of information security is essential, as is the ability to apply this knowledge in an open network environment
Information Security technical Certifications such as CEH, ECSA, CISA, CISSP etc.
Strong working knowledge of various security technologies including architecture, incident management, and forensics.
Experience or technical knowledge in financial environments is a plus
