As a member of our Digital Search team, you will dive head-first into creating innovative search solutions that advance businesses and careers. You'll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. And best of all, you'll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.
Responsibilities:
• As a engineering lead you will code solutions for Search feature using Java Spring frameworks especially Spring Boot.
• Support a team of ~8 engineers to successfully deliver business critical applications/projects
• Work closely with US leadership to build and deliver on business priorities & objectives
• Independently takes initiative in driving assignments to completion and solving problems without need for escalation
• Proactively research and develop new technologies, services, solutions, etc.
• Proactively identify gaps in all processes, procedures, monitors, alerts, designs, etc. and provide recommendations on how to resolve
• Perform regular/periodic peer/code reviews
• Work closely with business analyst, technical architects, quality assurance, and project management resources throughout delivery of solutions
• Ensure service levels are maintained for all applications and resolve production issues within agreed SLAs
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or better in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology
• 12+ years of experience in Technology organizations, including roles of influence (rather than direct span of control)
• Hands-on experience in delivering products using Java / J2EE stack
• 3+ years of experience in designing and executing Elastic Search product
• 3+ years of experience in designing and executing Spark based ingestion pipelines
• Should have good experience in integrating with services and APIs from web front end
• Experience with development, deployment, and support of large-scale applications in a mission-critical production environment
• Current with Agile development lifecycle methodology, Agile practices, technologies and languages
• Experience / expertise with security and controls (standards, tools, and processes)
• Extensive experience profiling, debugging, and performance tuning complex distributed systems
• Willingness to commit extra effort to meet deadlines as required on a high profile
