Introduction:
• Senior Unix engineer providing technical leadership to Barclays Linux and AIX server platforms and associated tools including Chef and Powerbroker.
• Act as an escalation point for the team with ability to diagnose and resolve technically complex issues across incident, problem and major incident scenarios.
• Work across the platform and technology stack, identify issues, gaps and underlying problems affecting the estate. Drive best-practice across the team, think long-term.
• Represent the platform across the global technology organization, build relationships, and manage stakeholders to drive the service forward.
• Facilitate technical workshops and knowledge transfer sessions where required. Publish whitepapers for technology support teams
• Innovate and implement efficiency ideas
