Job Title - VP Technology Specialist
Location – Pune, India
Role Description
Currently DWS sources technology infrastructure, corporate functions systems [Finance, Risk, HR, Legal, Compliance, AFC, Audit, Corporate Services etc] and other key services from DB. Project Proteus aims to strategically transform DWS to an Asset Management standalone operating platform; an ambitious and ground-breaking project that delivers separated DWS infrastructure and Corporate Functions in the cloud with essential new capabilities, further enhancing DWS’ highly competitive and agile Asset Management capability.
This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a high performing team implementing a strategic future state technology landscape for all of DWS Corporate Functions globally.
The Senior Technology Specialist is responsible understanding business problems and translating complex requirements from different domains with DWS into architectural specifications. This will serve as the basis for technical solutions. The Senior Technology Specialist acts as the day-to-day leader of work efforts in this area across a team and/or serves as a specialist providing support across development facing work efforts and projects.

Your Key Responsibilities
• Leading the Corporate Functions domain architecture and strategy on the Proteus Program which is aiming to decouple technology services from DB Group
• Overseeing the creation and the implementation of all, entirely new, Corporate Function Solution Blueprints
• Coordination and articulation of the strategic Solution Blueprints across all CFs driving consistency and re-use across CF portfolio – assessing both functional, data and application architectures
• Steering & supporting each CFs system implementation through the appropriate governance processes with key stakeholders working closely with each CFs solution architect, Engineering teams & business SMEs – with a strong focus on data integration, leveraging key internal principles & frameworks to align all the deliveries to common integration patterns
• Guiding the development of best practices, expertise and tools for SaaS solution and technology selection, onboarding, implementation & on-going maintenance; comparable to agile and devOps best practices for any custom-built application
• Provides leadership & direction for the development of proposals and delivery of initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders, colleagues, and team members
• Ensuring that each CF is adequately resourced [with Technical and Solution architect expertise] and is able to operate with a smooth cadence adopting agile & devOps, adherence to stated guiding principles and driving a performance, quality and productivity focus with embedded check-points and reviews
Your Skills And Experience
• 15+ years of experience in delivery role of large complex IT projects as an Architect, Program Manager or Product Manager
• Senior leadership roles in Application development / CIO functions
• Senior leadership roles in Architecture, preferably developing from hands-on engineering, technical architecture to solution architecture
• Subject matter expertise in Data Architecture
• Experience in creating system and solution architecture artefacts
• Experience in dealing with software vendors
• Good understanding of cloud infrastructure and cloud technologies including SaaS, Agile delivery, design methodology, integration technologies
• Data Modelling techniques – 3NF, Data Vault, Star Schema etc
• Evaluating ETL and Database tools and technologies
• Knowledge of NoSQL & RDBMS technologies
• Understanding Cloud technology with a focus on OLAP, OLTP technologies
• Data Governance across domains
• Knowledge of building Datawarehouse, Datamarts, Data Lakes, Reporting
• Database Federation and Virtualization
• Knowledge of Big Data, SOA, ETL, ELT and Cloud architectures
• Basic Programming like Python, C, C++, Scala etc is preferred
• Knowledge of distributed processing architectures
