Team Overview
InMobi Group is looking for an experienced executive to join in Bangalore, India to lead our Corporate Development team responsible for all global M&A, fundraising and investor relations for InMobi Group and its subsidiaries, including Glance. This leader will report to the Group CFO and partner closely with the Founders and Executive Team on planning and executing our most important strategic initiatives. This leader is responsible for managing relationships with our existing investors, including SoftBank, Google, Reliance, and Mithril Capital, and will source and manage external relationships with the investment community and Wall Street on a global basis. This leader also represents InMobi and Glance on all global M&A transactions and will be a key external voice at industry and investor conferences. Over the past 5 years, InMobi Group and Glance have raised in excess of $500M US in equity and debt and completed 6 notable acquisitions across US, India, Singapore and Europe. InMobi and Glance are global businesses, we operate in 43 countries, are headquartered in Singapore, with the US as our largest market. Our major AI software platforms are on more than 2B handsets globally and include InMobi Ads, an enterprise focused business heavily weighted in US, and Glance, a consumer facing platform with a scaled presence in Asia and growing in US, Japan and Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with Founders and Executive Team on all value maximization strategies and be the leading voice communicating our story externally
Partner with business leaders across our enterprise and consumer facing platforms to identify and execute acquisitions
Lead relationships with Wall Street, including our global investment banking and research relationships, which operate mostly out of US, India, Hong Kong and Singapore
Lead a potential IPO process for InMobi Group
Lead all other equity fundraising, including potential Pre-IPO rounds with Crossover Investors, and/or late-stage private financings, in which you are expected to source relationships with Global Growth investors, Sovereign Wealth Funds and Private Equity
Lead all debt financing and global banking relationships and evaluate alternatives including Term Loan and Bank markets and private credit
Lead relationships with existing investors and manage two Boards of Directors
Lead all future fundraise processes including investor messaging, positioning, investor financial models and all investor materials
Maintain strong company and sector expertise; stay current on all company and related industry activity to be a key outside-in voice for the Executive Team
Work closely with our Finance, Product, Marketing and Legal teams to build an understanding of the company's financials, product roadmap and strategy
Lead ongoing communication of the company's financial results, strategy, growth opportunities and business initiatives to current and potential shareholders
Lead board meeting preparation and presentation, including key messaging of financial results, progress toward strategic goals and applicable forward guidance
Lead investor meetings, roadshows and conference appearances
Lead and build on the existing team of 5 experienced professionals located in US and India
What do we require from you:
15+ years of work experience in corporate development, private equity, investment banking or consulting
Experience in fast growing, dynamic environments
Relationships and a track record with decision makers in the global investment community – growth investors, private equity, crossover and institutional investors, investment bankers and research analysts, and lenders
Excellent story telling capabilities
Combination of business experience across enterprise and consumer facing businesses preferred, along with a keen business sense, and also technical experience in valuation and deal structuring in capital markets
Ability to both lead and support is important - individual must be able to lead a team while supporting Founders and Executive Team on achieving strategic ambitions
Direct experience owning and managing relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders in key decisions
Superior communication (written/verbal), presentation and meeting facilitation skills
Self-motivated, proactive and a fast learner including pressure situations
Expect extensive international travel
