This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term appointments at various hours per fortnight with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. Casual appointments may be considered.

Position Profile: Opportunities exists for Aboriginal Mental Health Workers to join our team in the Kimberley region. This position provides cultural safety and a liaison service to Aboriginal people and non-Aboriginal employees within the Kimberley Mental Health and Drug Service (KMHDS). This postion enhances the accessibility of mental health services to Aboriginal people and communities.

Area Profile: The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is the largest country health system in Australia and one of the biggest in the world, providing health services to approximately half a million people, including 45,000 Aboriginal people, over a vast two and a half million square kilometre area. The organisation comprises seven regions, with a strong network of public hospitals, health services and health centres located across rural and remote Western Australia. The Kimberley Mental Health and Drug Service provides specialist community mental health and ******* and drug services to the Kimberley and acute in-patient psychiatric care for referred patients in the Kimberley region. The service aims to deliver a comprehensive range of high quality patient/client recovery focused mental health and ******* and drug services to both the people in the Kimberley region.
