About You
We are seeking a passionate and guest-focused Waiter to join our Straits Kitchen & Bar team at Pan Pacific London. You will showcase confidence, empathy, and professionalism when interacting with guests and colleagues alike. Remaining calm under pressure, you aim to deliver exceptional experiences for our guests.
Job Summary
As a Waiter in Straits Kitchen & Bar, your responsibilities will include:
Following restaurant standards, policies, and procedures alongside other team members.
Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of:
a) All food items, liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections available in the restaurant.
b) Every wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list.
c) Designated glassware and garnishes for drinks.
d) All menu items, preparation methods, ingredients, sauces, portion sizes, garnishes, presentation, and prices.
e) Daily menu specials and out-of-stock items.
f) Dining room layout, table/seat/station numbers, proper table set-ups, room capacity, hours of operation, price range, and dress code.
Aware of in-house group activities, locations, and times.
Correct maintenance and use of equipment.
All department policies/service procedures.
Assist in greeting and escorting guests to their tables according to departmental procedures, as needed. Ensure tables are set for optimal guest service.
Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, regardless of time or busyness. Foster positive guest relationships at all times.
Take and record restaurant reservations/cancellations by departmental standards, when no Host/ess or superior is available to do so.
