Cuvai is a vibrant, family-owned Sri Lankan restaurant in Bella Vista. We bring bold flavours, warm hospitality, and a culturally rich dining experience to our guests. We're looking for a reliable and energetic front-of-house team member to join our growing team.
About the Role:
We're looking for someone confident and capable of managing the front-of-house independently during their shifts. This is a customer-facing role with responsibility across table service, order taking, bar service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and seat customers with warmth and professionalism
Take food and drink orders accurately using POS system
Handle dine-in and takeaway orders
Serve food and beverages to tables
Attend to customer needs and provide recommendations
Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages (RSA required)
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of front-of-house and bar
Manage EFTPOS and cash payments
Be a reliable presence during rostered shifts
Requirements:
Must be available for fixed, regular shifts across weekdays, weeknights and weekends.
Minimum 6 months experience in a front-of-house, bartending or waiter role
RSA Certification (required to serve alcohol)
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and confidently
Friendly, professional, and adaptable under pressure
Preferred:
Experience working in a busy restaurant or café
Familiarity with Sri Lankan cuisine (not required but a bonus)
Ability to handle barista duties or cocktail preparation (training provided if needed)
