The following positions are required to meet the operational needs of the hotel/resort.
Job Title:
Waiter / Steward
Job Summary:
A Waiter (or Steward) is responsible for welcoming guests, taking orders, serving food & beverages, and ensuring an excellent dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service
Greet and welcome guests politely.
Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g., about portions, ingredients).
Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
Serving & Table Management
Serve food and beverages in a professional manner.
Ensure proper table setting, cleanliness, and arrangement.
Clear tables and reset them for the next guests promptly.
Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with kitchen staff for timely service.
Communicate guest special requests or complaints to the manager.
Work as a team with other waiters and restaurant staff.
Billing & Payment
Present bills, collect payments, and return change accurately.
Follow cash handling and billing procedures.
Cleanliness & Hygiene
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining area, and service counters.
Follow hotel/restaurant hygiene and grooming standards.
Skills Required:
Good communication skills (English/Hindi/regional language).
Polite, friendly, and customer-oriented behavior.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure during rush hours.
Basic knowledge of food & beverages.
Qualification:
Minimum 10th/12th pass (depends on establishment).
Prior experience preferred but not mandatory (training provided).
