Syndicated Bank Loan Process
Job Responsibility
1. Administer all derivative trades in investment accounting system accurately and timely.
2. Support processing, reconciliation, reportings, and controls in the process.
3. Solid understanding of bank loan process is preferred.
4. Solid understanding of the loan life cycle is preferred.
5. Adhere to established operating, risk, and compliance controls and standard operating procedures.
6. Elevate areas of potential loss/exposure immediately and include supporting documentation.
7. Serves as a technical resource to junior staff.
8. Reviews all open risk, control and reconciliations exceptions and work towards resolution of the same
+. Knowledge of downstream effects and economic impact of the different types of loan/mortgage product
10. Ability to apply industry knowledge to help other staff members
11. The individual acts as a second level resource within assigned business unit to support transactions in accordance to established procedures.
12. Willing to work in night shifts/ rotational schedule
13. Process large and variable volumes accurately whilst consistently meeting external and internal deadlines
14. Conducts performance appraisal of direct reports.
Primary responsibilities
1. Perform review on tasks performed by auditors and maintain 100% accuracy and timeliness within the process
2. Monitor SLAs and KPIs to ensure flawless delivery to client.
Process Re-engineering & Automation responsibilities
1. Candidates should have knowledge of process documentation using BPM methodology
2. Understand client requirements and suggest opportunities of automation
3. Drive Lean initiatives and process efficiencies
Education and Experience:
1. Bachelor or masters Degree with emphasis in accounting, finance or economics preferred.
2. Proven negotiation and influencing skills.
3. Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent communications skills including expressing complex ideas and concepts.
5. Computer proficient including spreadsheet and database applications.
Skills & other requirements:
1. Identify issues and pursue to resolution; prioritize and escalate according to risk
2. Remain calm & professional under pressure
3. Adapt positively to change and adversity
4. Manage conflicts between change project commitments and BAU workload
5. Manage urgent requests from multiple client simultaneously
6. Delegate effectively
7. Communicate clearly and concisely across all levels, both verbally and in writing
8. Review and provide concise feedback on typical business documents such as Service Level Agreements, Key Performance Indicators & Business Requirements.
+. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Visio), advance levels of Excel (pivot tables, formulas, excel workbook maintenance best practices).
10. Must be able to work in a deadline based fast paced environment
11. Independent decision-making capabilities demonstrated thought leadership
