Job Description
Mobility Assistance: Help patients move around the hospital safely, including transferring them from beds to wheelchairs or assisting with walking if necessary.
Monitoring Vital Signs: Assist in measuring and recording vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, and respiratory rate under the supervision of a nurse or healthcare provider.
Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep patient rooms and common areas clean and tidy. This includes changing bed linens, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring proper disposal of medical waste.
Assisting with Procedures: Provide support during medical procedures or examinations, such as holding equipment or comforting patients.
Stocking Supplies: Ensure that patient care areas are well-stocked with essential supplies such as linens, toiletries, and medical equipment.
Transporting Patients: Assist in transporting patients to different areas of the hospital for tests, treatments, or procedures.
Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients, their families, and healthcare providers, relaying important information and addressing concerns as needed.
Safety Measures: Follow hospital protocols and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and infections. This may include proper hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to isolation precautions.
Documentation: Accurately document patient care activities and observations in medical records, including any changes in condition or unusual occurrences.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
Professional Development: Participate in training programs and continuing education opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in patient care and healthcare practices.
