Job Description
Assist with patient showering and personal hygiene as required.
Assist with repositioning and transferring patients using appropriate equipment.
Transport patients between rooms or wards, including transfers to the mortuary, and complete required documentation.
Ensure wheelchairs, trolleys, beds and other equipment are clean, safe, and correctly stored.
Check and restock gas cylinders in designated areas.
Clean pressure-relieving cushions and ELP equipment as directed by the palliative care Occupational Therapist.
Communicate effectively with the NUM and relevant team members.
Selection criteria:
Ability to work within the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Kogarah
Demonstrates ability to work independently and as a team member
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated awareness of work health and safety principles
Demonstrated awareness of infection prevention principles
Demonstrated initiative, self-reliance and flexibility
Intermediate level of computer literacy with basic knowledge of oracle or similar applications
