As a Wardsperson, you’ll be the vital link between care and comfort—transporting patients with compassion, managing essential equipment and supplies, and supporting nursing teams with precision. You’ll play a key part in lifting, positioning, and transferring patients using specialized techniques, while also maintaining a clean and safe environment by handling oxygen supplies, spills, and waste.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced, and rewarding role where your contribution directly impacts patient safety, dignity, and experience. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams, assist with complex workloads, and help manage challenging behaviours with professionalism and care.
We have both permanent positions and temporary part-time contracts (12 months) available, giving you flexibility to choose what suits your lifestyle and career goals.

What You'll be Doing
To provide non-clinical support to complement the delivery of safe,effective and quality patient care.
This includes: transporting of patients, couriering of items, episodic cleaning, restocking, and assembling of equipment set-ups.

Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, offering a wide range of state-wide services including critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care, and brain injury rehabilitation. As a key teaching facility for UNSW Sydney and Western Sydney University, it provides extensive clinical services, including emergency care, cancer treatment, paediatrics, and mental health services. The hospital features 23 operating theatres and has a capacity for 877 beds.
The ongoing $830 million redevelopment as part of the Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct is transforming the hospital into a global hub for medical innovation. This redevelopment will expand clinical services, enhance research and teaching facilities, and introduce state-of-the-art equipment and amenities.
