An opportunity is available for a Warehouse Apprentice to work within our Warehouse Team. The Warehouse Apprentice will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the warehouse including goods inwards, kitting of production orders, dispatch, quality inspection and inventory control. They will be comfortable and capable of operating in a complex, fast paced, make-to-order manufacturing environment.
What you'll do:
• Running of daily reports including but not limited to kitting reports and inventory control reports
• Supporting the goods in function and learning and understanding the process of receipting in raw material
• Supporting the dispatch function and learning and understanding the process of booking in, storing, picking and shipping finished goods
• Supporting with inventory control by creating storage locations for any new parts
• Supporting with kitting and picking material to production orders for the shop floor
• Supporting the inventory controller with root cause analysis on stock inaccuracies
• Carrying out cycle counts and stock verifications
• Identifying any improvement opportunities
• Oversight of the shipping and logistics functions
• Any other ad hoc tasks identified by the Group Lead or Supply Chain Manager
Qualifications:
GCSEs including a minimum of Grade 4 in English and Maths.
Training:
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying. Training course: Supply chain warehouse operative (Level 2)
Skills:
• Excellent organisational and administration skills are essential.
• Computer Literate
• The ability to identify ideas for improvement
