Job Title: Warehouse AssistantLocation: ChennaiReports to: Operations Manager/Logistics HeadJob Summary:We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Warehouse In-Charge to manage the day-to-day operations of ourwarehouse facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing inventory management, ensuring efficient handling ofgoods, coordinating dispatches, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.Key Responsibilities:1. Warehouse Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing,and dispatching goods.2. Inventory Control: Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels; perform regular stock checks and ensure timelyupdates in the inventory system.3. Team Management: Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff, ensuring productivity and adherence to operationalprocedures.4. Order Processing: Coordinate with the sales, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely and accuratefulfillment of orders.5. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all goods are stored in compliance with quality standards and regulatoryrequirements.6. Safety Compliance: Ensure that all warehouse activities adhere to safety guidelines and standards, including theproper use of equipment and handling of goods.7. Space Optimization: Implement strategies to maximize warehouse space utilization and improve operationalefficiency.8. Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with third-party service providers (e.g., transport companies, vendors) toensure smooth operations.+. Documentation: Maintain and oversee all records related to warehouse activities such as inventory logs, deliverynotes, and invoices.Key Requirements:Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in a supervisory role.Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office. Good understanding of warehouse health, safety, and compliance requirements. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ERP systems. Knowledge of lean warehousing processes and best practices.Key Competencies:1.
