Founded in 1+++ by Sukhinder and Rajbir Singh, The Whisky Exchange is a fast-growing and world-renowned international spirits business. It was one of the first multi-channel, multi-market global drinks distributors and is a leader in its field. Now made up of four group companies, it is an independently managed business and has been part of the Pernod Ricard Group since November 2021.
In this role you will work between the warehouse and the delivery team, dependent on business requirements. You'll provide back-up for our multi-drop delivery drivers, and will step in to do deliveries on particularly busy days. Your responsibilities will vary day by day, but to give you an idea of what you might be doing:
• On days you're in the warehouse - picking, packing, checking or orders and ensuring they are ready to leave at the required time. We have a digital system for picking orders, showing the location and number of items to be picked.
• On days you're driving - multi-drop delivery driving and collection of orders from around the London area. Ensuring that customers & suppliers are treated with respect and items are handled with care. We use Medium Wheel Based Sprinter vans and provide comprehensive training on our driving routes.
This position could be right for you if you:
• Have good verbal communication skills
• Work well as part of a team
• Have a high level of numeracy
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
• Have good knowledge of Central London
• Hold a current driving license valid for use in the UK
