Job description
The Warehouse Associate position is responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager with the daily operation of the warehouse. This position will also assist with the order picking, packing and delivery of merchandise to customers. The Warehouse Associate will also be responsible for receiving and inventory of merchandise, as well as assisting with the maintenance of a clean and safe working environment.
Essential Duties:
·Receive and unload incoming trucks and trailers.
·Assist Warehouse Manager in preparation for deliveries.
·Assist Warehouse Manager in stocking inventory.
·Assist Warehouse Manager in the preparation of orders for delivery.
·Assist Warehouse Manager in the inspection of incoming shipments.
·Assist warehouse manager in the preparation and inspection of outgoing shipments.
·Assist warehouse manager in the inspection of outgoing shipments.
·Maintain cleanliness of warehouse and grounds.
·Maintain inventory control.
·Maintain organization of warehouse.
·Perform other duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager or Plant Manager.
·Complete any other tasks that may be necessary to ensure effective operation of the warehouse facility, including but not limited to, cleaning, warehousing, receiving, inventory control, maintenance, etc.
Qualifications:
·High School Diploma or GED preferred; or equivalent experience of (three) three to (five) years with a demonstrated ability to perform the job duties.
·Must be able to lift 50 pounds consistently; and occasionally up to 75 pounds. Must have good hand-eye coordination and be able to stand/walk continuously for up to 8 hours per day in a hot/cold warehouse environment. Must have good communication skills in written/oral and basic communication skills required for customer service interactions with others (i.e., reading, writing, speaking). Must possess good organizational skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize duties as needed in a fast-paced environment. Must possess good physical strength and endurance as well as ability to lift/pull heavy items such as heavy boxes, merchandise, etc., throughout an 8-hour workday (normal hot/cold warehouse conditions apply).
