The Role

We are looking for a dedicated warehouse associate to help us receive and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products within our flooring warehouse.

In this position, you will ensure that our product is moved safely and efficiently, maintaining proper inventory levels and adhering to high housekeeping and warehouse standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with shipping and receiving, loading & unloading trucks, and scheduling freight carriers to pick up and deliver freight.

Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.

Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.

Fill sales orders, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to shipping or to designated assembly area.

Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.

Weigh and count items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards.

Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness/cleanliness at all times.

Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

Gather and position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.

Work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

BASIC understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.

Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

Experience and ability using computer programs preferred.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Valid Driver's license required

1-year experience in warehouse work environment preferred.

Forklift Certified preferred.

Flooring Industry knowledge is a plus.

RFMS Systems Experience is a plus.
