Responsibilities
The Warehouse Clerk will assist in organizing, counting, and maintaining the inventory at the main Surf Internet warehouse in LaPorte, IN and deliver weekly inventory distributions to other locations in Indiana, Illinois and Michigan
Reports To: Inventory Control Manager
Works with inventory personnel to receive, organize, and distribute inventory within the Warehouse and to satellite warehouses in Indiana, Illinois, and Michigan
Completes weekly scheduled deliveries/pickups to offices/warehouses in Indiana, Illinois, and Michigan, as well as unscheduled deliveries during normal business hours as needed
Plans and completes an efficient delivery and pick up route for the day
Loads delivery vehicle with inventory and equipment for the scheduled delivery
Ensures loads are secured to prevent breakage
As necessary, picks up equipment and inventory from other Surf office locations to be returned to the LaPorte, IN warehouse
Maintains basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made
Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor
Assists in general warehouse duties when delivery route is completed, if needed
Performs warehouse maintenance and organization, including shelving, palletizing, and staging warehouse inventory
Maintains a clean and safe work environment
Works safely at all times and notifies supervisor of any safety related issues immediately
Performs other related duties as assigned
