Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of accounting principles, as well as experience in warehouse management systems. This role is crucial in guiding our financial strategy and supporting our operational goals.
Duties
Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Oversee budgeting processes and monitor financial performance against budgets.
Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise inventory management, including stock control and materials handling.
Supervise shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy in picking, packing, loading, and unloading of goods.
Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and streamline operations.
Provide leadership to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a similar financial role, preferably within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Familiarity with AS400 systems is advantageous.
Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for understanding operational processes.
Experience with forklift operation is preferred.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
