About our Opportunity
We have an opportunity for an experienced outbound Warehouse & Despatch Supervisor leading the teams responsible for finished goods warehousing, picking customer orders, loading and transporting the products. This is a critical role for our NSW operations requiring someone to lead from the front ensuring we effectively service and deliver to our customers. You will lead and support a skilled warehouse workforce with a team size of up to 16 personnel in day to day warehouse operations such as daily picking and despatch of our bulk customised freight.
In addition, you’ll:
ensure compliance and continual improvement in all aspects of safety
maintain a strong customer focus constantly striving to achieve 100% delivery in full on time
drive the LEAN and continuous improvements methodology
improve engagement and culture through leadership, training and mentoring
drive training initiatives and processes to develop staff and key personnel
lead root cause identification and elimination of causes of efficiency and waste issues and causes of lost productivity.
About You
We’re searching for someone who has a background in warehouse supervising preferably in the building material manufacturing industry or with bulk customized freight. We’re looking for a people leader who has a flexible leadership style and hands on approach, who can maintain high level of employee engagement with the ability to adapt their communication style to the needs of their diverse team and customers.
In addition:
working knowledge of Chain of Responsibility
hold a current unrestricted driver’s license.
